Our Kindergarten to Grade 5 students attend music classes each week. Our Grade 6 students attend either band or music classes depending on the selection at the start of the year.  These classes are taught by Ms Souza and Ms O'Hara. Please see the list below for which teacher is assigned to your child's class.  If you have any questions regarding music classes, please feel free to contact their music teacher directly.

My name is Miss Souza, and I am the new Music and Band teacher at Westmount School. I have been a music teacher since 2015 and am excited to be part of your child’s education. I have a Bachelor of Music in piano performance and an after-degree program in Education in Secondary Track, with a minor in Social Studies at Burman University. Currently, I am working on my Master's Degree in elementary education at the University of Alberta. 

I would like to showcase your child’s progress throughout the school year with this online portfolio of what your child has been learning in my music class, and you get to hear the progress and what is happening in the music classroom. I hope you enjoy listening to the songs we record and are learning in the music class, as they are very proud to share their learning in music class with you.
